Dear Sarah,

This wonderful new thread in your forum reminds me of how I used to see the world long, long time ago, as a child, and is certainly your way of seeing it, which should also be the way we all see it.

The way you see “gardening” and “tending” as a mission, rather than a hobby or pastime, is also wonderful.

I would like to contribute with “Earth Paradise,” a masterpiece by a famed Flemish painter who obviously saw the world like you do. His name was Jan Broughel the Elder and he used to paint back in the Seventeen century. Some of his best paintings were made in collaboration with the great Rubens.

I really hope you and everyone like it.

Best Wishes,

Luis Miguel Goitizolo

Hi Sarah!!,

Thanks for this wonderful new thread.  There is already a lot of great information here.

Now that it's fall here in Pennsylvania, we have a lot of gardening to do to get ready for the harsher, colder winter months.  My husband has already been very busy pruning all of the evergreens and bsues.  Over the weekend I will start splitting some of the perennials.

Fall is the best time to get the yard re-established.  It's time to aerate and overseed too.

I have a lot of great mums in bloom and the pansies are all planted too.  The Cana need to be pruned and mulched over so they will return next year.  The trees all get a deep root feeding.

It's almost as busy as the spring, but it's one of my favorite things to do!!

Green Wiz provides all sorts of tips and links to information when you are ready to get your garden winterized!

Thanks for the invite to your great forum, Sarah!!

Happy gardening, everyone!!

Judy

Dear Sarah,

What a lovely, peaceful place to visit!  The music and flowers are all so beautiful, you can feel the magic of the unicorns!

Sincerely,

Terry

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your visits and contributions.

This is just a quick visit on my part as I have to leave the garden for the afternoon.

I teach English on Thursday afternoons.

Actually my students tell me that they look upon the lessons as  more like therapy sessions than English lessons.

Read into that what you will.

They love coming anyway!  That's the important thing.

I hope you continue to enjoy your visits here.

Will be back later.

Sarah
