I agree that nuts are really expensive in the grocery stores. But I still buy the almonds, walnuts and pecans for us to eat as protein snacks and add to our foods.
It is cheaper than fast foods and junk foods, which are bad for us. I can't rip thru a bag of almonds like I can a really big bag of chips (which don't satisfy me anyway).
I think everything will keep going up in price, and we have to decide what we buy as priorities. And many will not be able to buy healthy and fresh foods.
Good, hot oatmeal is still a healthy, cheap choice over expensive processed boxed cereals. I love to add a little nuts, fruits and cinnamon to mine !
