Bonjour Thomas and Steven,
Congrats to you both, Thomas for the effort and presentation and Steven for being featured.
I enjoyed reading your bio.
We are nine of us living here and we find it difficult to all eat together during the day. We try to eat together in the evenings and on Sundays at midday as well as the evening.
You are right about the pace of life. We moved here to the south of France in the countryside to try to slow down the pace of life. It is true it's much slower here. When I return to England, it takes me a while to adjust!
I agree with you about reality tv too. We only watch French tv but it is on there too. In fact, I find that I watch less and less tv these days. I think that so much time is wasted by people watching the tv. It's one of my 'soap boxes' so I'll stop there before I go on and on.
I much prefer live entertainment. When I was in London recently, we went to a show, "Wicked." Wonderful (and she wasn't really wicked at all). The atmosphere in the theatre, the emotions one goes through, laughter, tears .........the whole ambiance. You don't get that on tv.
I also do drama (and write and produce plays sometimes as well as acting). Providing live entertainment and watching others providing their own entertainment is great. We have a really good time.
Well, this is supposed to be your party so I won't go on any more. Your bio just sparked me off!
Congrats and enjoy your celebration.
Sarah
ps Welcome, You are in my downline for Friendswin (however, as I'm only on dial-up here in the countryside, I can't do anything much with that one, I discovered.)
