HI Everyone,

For those of you that know Lisa you may have heard about her daughter Elizabeth having cancer. I have been in touch with Lisa quite a bit the last few days and I just wanted to give everyone an update on Elizabeth!

Lisa, her husband George, and Elizabeth all arrived at Duke in Durham, NC yesterday to start her on stem cell transplant. This is going to be a long process for Elizabeth to go through, but we are all praying that when all is said and done that the cancer will be gone. They will all be at Duke for the next 30 days at least.

Lisa and George are asking if everyone will please keep little Elizabeth in your thoughts and prayers, and ask God to heal her. They really appreciate all the prayers, and it helps them get through each passing day. 

Elizabeth celebrated her 5th birthday at home on Sunday before having to go back to the hospital. I sent her a really cool and funny ecard, which Lisa said she listened to about 20 times and it made her laugh and dance. She had a really good birthday at least, and I was happy to be a little part of it and make her smile and dance. :)

Bless, O God, Elizabeth
who is struggling with cancer.
Empower the family with hope
for each and every day.
Provide them with loving
and tender care, laughter,
and the support of love.
Grant them
courage when they are afraid,
comfort when they are in pain,
and your blessing
when all else seems hopeless,
that in their fight with illness
they may continue to praise you
and glorify your name.

You are so nice to post this update.  I was unaware of Lisa's daughter's  cancer until this forum.

Yes, indeed, I will keep Elizabeth and Lisa and the whole family in my prayers.
