Seems like everyone is citing this map and can't find a link for it yet! Maybe among these top few?

Scholarly articles for University of Arizona Northeast: A map created by University of Arizona scientists, based on data from the U.S. Geological Survey, show areas in the Northeast that would become flooded if the the sea rose one meter.

Kind of makes you say HMMMMMMmmmmmmm.....doen't it?

Loks like the Allen Family will be moving before long.  Looks like my little safe harbor is going to be under water.

Funny how all of a sudden this is of great concern and making headlines.  Not lomg ago many were laughing at AL Gore.  Now all these folks that were once needing more proof are seemingly amazed at how much proof there is.  What they guffawed at and that what was being forcast would not happen four hundred years or more.  Are now saying that we may have as little as 10-50 years before dramatic changes occur.  The world needs to unite and plan for the needs of the people that are sure to be great.

We need to end our greed and pettiness to plan for a very different future.  Bright as it may be there are turbulent days ahead.

True that this may have occured over time anyway.  But there seems to be indisputable facts that we have quickened the pace of this cycle of the earth.  We all should be thinking abou how future generations will survive the world to come.

Hi Jim

I was surprised how little, compared to other places in the world, that Africa will loose to the increased water levels... and I seemed to think that by 6+  meters more flooding would creep up the Mississippi delta... unless it just looks small on the tiny maps and is more miles than I'm realizing?

I think the usa should contact the Netherlands and see how they've kept the ocean at bay all these years and what they've got planned!
