I'm not saying the thieves were Muslim, but the news report suggests that because of the threats by the terrorist factions to attack American children, and because of other related events, the suggestion is that Muslim terrorists could be planning a major attack using school buses. If you consider the sheer number of buses missing, and the clear lack of security regarding the school bus system in the US and Canada, plus the simple fact that were it not for this warning many of us would never look at a bus suspecting it could be used as a weapon of terror, then you'll see as this report suggests links of events that could form the chain of an attack.
It is our duty to be vigilant and break those links up in the hopes of preventing any such attacks.
