Hello friends,
This is a picture of me standing on our newly purchased 6 acres of land in the North Carolina mountains. See the mountains in the background? That will be our view from the back porch of the log house we are going to build.
For the last couple of years we have been talking about moving from Michigan to North Carolina (where I am from) and buying a home in the mountains.
Earlier this year we were visiting my family in North Carolina and we drove through a town in the mountains where we had not been before. We noticed it had a small town atmosphere and it also had great restaurants, a big RV store (important for our RV camping), a Walmart... everything you need in a small town setting - and it is in the foothills of the mountains where we want to live.
We commented that it would be a great place to live and while we were there we visited a real estate office and actually looked at a couple of houses, which we did not care for.
Once we got back to Michigan we expected the real estate agent to follow up; however she did not, so we resolved that we would visit the town again on our next trip to North Carolina.
A few weeks ago someone put a tiny little advertisement cut from the newspaper in my husband's mailbox where he works. The ad was for a log house in the North Carolina mountains and there was a phone number.
Our of curiosity, we called the number to inquire... you guessed it! The property for sale is in the SAME town where we had discussed moving to.
So, we took an impromptu RV camping trip to NC to meet with the land developer.
Oh, another synchronicity - It was Labor Day weekend and we first could not find a campground that had openings because of the holiday. THEN we got a brochure in the mail about the same land from a different developer (who turned our to be a partner) and he suggested another campground.
We called and they had availability - AND it was a campground dedicated to DOGS. They welcomed our chihuahuas to the campground before they welcomed us. It was great fun.
OK, so we spent the day with the land developer and actually selected a six acre tract of land - and BOUGHT it!
It is in a gated community where everyone is buidling log houses, so that is what we are doing too. We're meeting with builders in October to get an idea of what type house we want to build, etc.
So, do you see how that worked? We set our sights on that particular town and surrendered to allow the Universe to deliver!
Law of Attraction in action again. I absolutely love it!
Many blessings.
