Hello Amanda,

Somaly's story is tragic.  That she has overcome her own wounds to help other girls is just amazing.

I cannot fathom the abuse that these little girls go through.  These people are criminals who don't care about anyone's welfare but feeding their own depravity.

I did not include this part in the article, but her foundation has recently been raided and they again kidnapped the girls.  Their is an investigation, if you want to call it that, going on now with regard to the raid.  However, with the government and these criminals, I am not sure if it will be successful.

Somaly lives in constant fear and wrote her book so people could read about the plight of these girls should her life be taken.

I cannot even imagine what it must be like to have to sell your child.  Just thinking about it makes the pain too much to bear.

Hugs,

Luella

Hi Sharon,

Friday is the day I go into town and do all my errands.  I plan to get the book then.  Books-A-Million should have it but you have a very good idea.  I believe I will call first and if they don't have it they can order it.

There are so many hurting children, around the world and even in our own back yard.  We need so many more Somalys to reach them.

Hugs,

Luella
