that's what I get out of it anyway.  Our Jerky team here is definitely a 'faction'.  We are a small group "Our Team" within the Whole Group "Jerky Direct".

I guess depending on the way you use the word, it does implie unhappy dissent.

But, it's a word I guess some use quite often.  I personally until today, had not heard of it.
