Today I said a little prayer
for you and you alone...
that God would grant protection
upon your loving home.

I prayed that He would keep you
content and free of strife...
that He'd wrap His arms so gently
around the center of your life.

I prayed that He would give the strength
you need to carry on...
and that you would always know
 you never are alone.

I prayed for the ones you love the most
and for their families...
I asked His peace surround you all
while I was on my knees.

Whenever times get heavy
and you need someone to care...
remember that I love you
and for you, I'll say a prayer.

Remember He has promised
Our burdens all to bear...
If only we believe in Him
And trust in the power of prayer.
