Hello,
I'm back.
Had a bit of an adventure. Went to the mountains to find the wolves, as I said.
Well, we didn't actually see the wolves which was disappointing especially for Raymonde who was the one who requested today's visit. Thomas, I'll show her the pictures you've put here.
As soon as we arrived at Orlu (in little Isabelle's words) the monster in the sky was roaring very loudly and then he threw down the wet monster on us. She was right, the rain was monsterous! The thunder and lightning was monsterous, but exciting.
Needless to say that we got very wet. We also got very dirty from the splash back from the track and road. When the rain calmed for a bit, we stood in the middle of a road with our shoes off and washed ourselves in the water rushing down the hill.
Despite not seeing the wolves, the trip was worth it for the fantastic views on the journey and the excitement of the storm.
On the way home we went to a restaurant and when I stood up the girls laughed because I'd left a puddle on the seat!
I'm tired now as it's my bedtime but I want to say thanks to all those who took the time to come to my SS time. I appreciate it.
Nan, thank you for your congrats.
Georgios, thank you so much for your comments. Baroque versus Rococco!! That made me laugh! Actually my family name is Barton and there are some Bartons that originated from the Baron de Barton in France. So, perhaps I've come back to my roots. I'm still investigating.
Monica, thank you for coming by. Nice to see you. I hope to add some photos of our visits this summer here and in your just beautiful. I've got one or two that are beautiful for me for different reasons.
Steven, thanks for your visit. I plan to find some Oreos when I visit London in September (I suppose they'll have them in London). I am desperate to get a taster after all the posts about these 'not just cookies'. We would say biscuits where I come from.
Leslie, thanks for your visit and comments. You can get to know a lot of people and places here. It's great and Thomas did such a great job.
Thank you for visiting Kathy. We're all special in different ways aren't we?
Thank you for coming by Nick and thank you for your graphics. I'm preparing some photos to put here, but I'm too tired to do it tonight.
Sam, thank you. I'm enjoying my SS.
Thanks to you too, Charles. You and Sam are not well known to me. I'll have to look you up and find out about you, as you now know about me.
Bj, great to see you here with your sunny smile (need it after the mountain storm!)
Hello my new friend Barbara. Thanks for coming by.
I've enjoyed my day on and off line. Thanks Thomas and everyone for helping to make my day. I'm now off to bed, a happy lady.
Goodnight,
Sarah
