On July 23, CNN and YouTube are airing a Democratic presidential debate featuring questions from people like you. They have asked citizens to submit questions by video. The best ones will be aired and answered by candidates during the debate.
This is a great chance to elevate Net Neutrality as an issue for the next president of the United States. All candidates should take a clear position on the issues that will shape the future of the Internet in America. But few have spoken out about Net Neutrality on the campaign trail.

Here are some questions you might ask:
- If elected will you ensure that Net Neutrality -- the First Amendment of the Internet -- is permanently protected?
- What message do you have for companies like AT&T, Verizon, and Comcast who oppose Net Neutrality and want to become the Internet's gatekeepers -- dictating which Web sites and services we can access on our computers?
- The United States ranks 16th in the world broadband rankings. What would you do to bridge the digital divide and make high-speed broadband more accessible through the United States at more reasonable prices?
- Do you support the right of cities and towns to provide high-speed Internet access to their residents?
