Good Morning Marion and friends,

I just love George's thoughts on aging.

His advice "

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

is my favorite from the list.

Thanks for posting the list.

I forgot to mention that I just turned 60 and I'm not going to push too hard to 70.

Hi all. I'm going to send this to my sister who is 57 1/2. I am 60 1/2 and going backwards now.My sister was devistated when she hit 50, I wonder how she will feel when 60 comes along. She just made a trip to the coast for our mothers 85th birthday on July 3. We took her to a casino and then to a pub and dinner and a beer on the wharf and then a chocolate coated soft ice cream at Dairy Queen for desert. Mothers best birthay gift was spending the day alone with her two daughters. We made her happy and very tired. My sister spent most of the next day bleaching her stained tee shirts and helping her with other personal things around her apartment and then made the five hour trip home. Mom has been a dream ever since. We couldn't have made her birthday any better than spending it with just us. Father died when she was 60 and she never in her wildest dreams expected to live this long.

Quality time is the most important thing to us as we age.

As we held mothers hand and went through the pub to get to the warf the croud was aweing us as they thought it was very cute. My sisters chest must have grown at least 2 sizes. Her face was full of pride. It was a happy day for all of us. We wish she lived just a little closer.

Oh Diana, this is such a sweet writing about your mom. Cherish and spoil her as much as you possibly can.

I lost my mom when she was 84, 3 years ago and I miss her so badly.

Last time I talk to her, it was March 9th, 2004. I kept the phone bill as a momento.

She was my hero.
