Hi Nick,

Thank You for such an Inspiring Story.  It is wonderful to remember that even in our current "Politically Correct" world, there are still Brave Men & Women who are willing to stand up and defend God and Country and to DO WHAT'S RIGHT!

GOD BLESS THE USA

Nick,

The professor was definitely wrong in attempting to test God, but what most do not realize or understand is that God does not bless our country, its soldiers, nor those of any other country since they are violating his righteous laws.  That would be like asking God to bless one's efforts in commiting adultery, thievery, or murder.  And murder is exactly what they are doing!  God's law does not say it's okay to kill if you're doing it for your country.  It says not to kill period!  This sense or attitude of nationalism is exactly what the Bible counsels against, for, as we all can see, it leads to wars.  It is one of Satan's most subtle forms of idolatry.

God does not sanction the wars and the killing among the nations of the earth.  The only wars He ever sanctioned were those in ancient times meant to cleanse the promised lands for the freed Israelites, and those killed were detestable, children-sacrificing, pagan-god worshippers.  All wars since those times, even the so-called "holy wars" started and sanctioned by false religion, did not have God's approval.

Bible truth is something the majority of people today do not know, understand or even care to find out about.  But that's just what has been prophesied in the Bible about the attitude of the multitudes in the last days, and that's right in accord with Satan's plan.

Hiya Nick, hope you are having a wonderful day my friend! :)

I have to reply to Terry's message..

Hiya Terry,

You do have a good point, and I somewhat agree with you.

However, there is one thing that you have failed to mention. Defense. And it is not a sin or un-Godly to Defend your country, your family, your home.. from individuals or groups that attempt to harm,  murder or corrupt.

It is wonderful that you know your Bible well. However, it is an assumption that leads you to believe that others do not understand the Bible as well as you.

Many Pastors of different religions (Baptist, Pentecostal, Catholic, etc) can take a verse from the Bible and have their own interpretation of it. And depending upon your religion, you can have many different points of view. Who is to say whose interpretation is right and wrong? God.

Not humans. Not you, or I. Why? Because the Bible spefically says that we are not to judge others. All humans will be judged by God on judgement Day.

I think it was great for you to share your opinion.  However I think it was somewhat rude of you to insinuate that others with different opinions were wrong.

Nice to meet you and I hope you have a very Blessed Weekend!

~Monica

Howdy Monica,

Thanks for your reply.  I commend you on your spirituality!

Although this is not the proper forum to debate religious beliefs, many people who do not know God have been misled and unknowingly support these wars and the troops on the basis of nationalistic pride.  Those with the right heart disposition will be enlightened by my message.  Of course, those who are not rightly disposed and are a part of the world, which the Bible counsels against, will reject my message and find fault with it.

Regarding "Defense" as you pointed out, no, it is not wrong to defend oneself when one is personally physically threatened.  However, it is wrong and against God's laws to knowingly take up arms and go to a foreign country and kill people.  There is no question that this violates God's law.  Those people are not at your door physically threatening you.  Those terrorists and groups of people who carry out their horrifying acts will be dealth with by God, just as His word promises.  "Return evil for evil to no one.  Vengeance is mine.  I will repay."

As far as your statement that many pastors in different religions have their own interpretation of scriptures, you are exactly right, and this is exactly what Satan is counting on in his quest to mislead.  That's exactly the reason there are tens of thousands of religions today and so many that claim to be Christian, when in the beginning when Jesus walked the earth, there was only one Christian religion.  And Jesus himself even foretold this would happen.  Satan is very clever, and each time throughout the ages some adopted slightly different beliefs and split off and formed their own religion, Satan was slyly leading them further and further from the truth.

You ask "who is to say whose interpretation is right?"  I think you'll agree the Bible, God's word, is the definitive answer.  But most people don't know what the Bible REALLY teaches, and blindly accept what they've been taught is the truth simply because that's what their parents and their parents before them accepted, never having actually studied the Bible.  I know this firsthand, because I did the same thing for over 50 years!  I accepted what my mother had accepted, not based on personal Bible study, but based on family tradition.  However, the Bible itself says there is and can be ONLY one truth, and by definition the truth will oppose all others.  Therefore, all religions cannot be right!  Example, you most likely consider yourself a Christian, and yet, you know as a Christian that those religions who reject Jesus Christ as our redeemer are false.

Monica, I apologize if I came off as sounding rude in my post.  That was not my intention at all.  But I am glad that I stirred up some thoughts therefrom.  People need to take these things much more seriously than the majority do, as we are living in the last days and learning the truth is a matter of life and death.  For instance, you mentioned Judgement Day.  Most people have been misled about what the Bible teaches on this subject also and do not understand the implications of this "day," when it will occur and that it will actually be 1,000 years long, during Jesus' Millenial Reign.

As I said at the beginning, this is not the proper forum to discuss these things, but if you wish to discuss these things further, you are welcome to personal message me, and, when I get the much needed time, I will try to respond.

Once again, have a good'un!

Terry
