Hello Trudy,
Hope you had a peaceful day.Great is His Faithfulness and His mercies are new everyday. It is good to see you optimistic and having Faith. It is important that you stay calm and collective. Your Son has been sick for a long time. Therefore it is going to take some time for him to be healed. If he is receptive, and want to get well, you both have to start with small changes.
To start with Food for the Soul, mind and Body.
You can read the Bible and pray with him two or three times a day. More if you can. This way it may help to calm him down. Even if he is not receptive, you can still pray over him. Read the Psalms which is soothing for the Soul.
Read a Praise like psalm 7,8,9 and a petition like psalm 5,6. Keep him busy with things he likes to do. Feed him
more nutritious food meat potato, vegetables and fruits and grains. Limit if possible sugar and fatty foods, cafeine and any trigar foods. No junk foods if possible. Get him to do excercise. If he is not used to it. Start walking with him. He needs to sleep atleast 8 hours.
No Garbage from the T.V- nothing to aggitate him.
If you have a song book- Sing "All to Jesus I surrender"
if not you may simply read .
Well that is plenty to start with.
Let us Say a prayer:
Abba our Heavenly Father,We Praise You!and worship you.
We thank You for leading us thru another day.If you hold our hand, we know we can make it thru another day.Lord,
I lift up to you my affliction, this day,and my son`s addiction. I ask you to take it away. I thank you for Your grace and mercy toward me."I will Extol You,O Lord, for You have lifted me up... O Lord my God. I cried out to you,and you healed me" Psalm 30:1-2. "Bless the Lord O my soul, and forget not all the benefit.Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases"Psalm 103:2-3.Should you decide not to heal me in the way and time I desire, I trust that You will bring good out of my suffering and that it will glorify You."Be merciful to me,O God,be merciful to me! For my soul Trusts in You,and in the shadow of your wings I will take Refuge until these calamities have passed by" Psalm 57:1.In Jesus Name we Pray.Amen!
