Wonderful choice Luella!! I did a extensive report on Florence Nightingale while I was in school. I still have my report!! So this brought back some small memories also...;-)

I have always looked at Florence Nightingale as one of the  women that did not have the word defeat or failure in her vocabulary .. I have read her bio before, but she always reminds me that no matter what you want to achieve you can with perseverance and a little dab of courage. I enjoyed this post greatly . Thanks for sharing her story with us, but most of all I am glad she did the impossible.

Florence Nightingale is a wonderful choice for our Thirty-fifth Woman of Courage.  I studied Florence Nightingale in elementary school as well.  From being introduced to her back then I admired her very much she and she remained one of my favorite women.  She knew herself ... she knew what she wanted ... she knew how to make a difference ... and she did!
