Coming to ALP has been an incredible experience.
It took me a long time to see more of the positive than the negative side of life.
I was about 40 when I truly realized we have the ability to choose which we want to see. From the years of depression and medication its easy to get lost in the negative.
When I first began writing poetry, it had more of a negative tone and reflected the depression and negativity. Now, I write with a postive outlook. I see the beauty in the world around me. I appreciate the birds singing and a beautiful sunset. I find it amazing that Mother Nature gives us the beauty of nature for FREE. All we need to do is look around us and appreciate what we see.
It took me 40 years to realize what a wonderful life I had. I am grateful, I have at least another 40 or more to appreciate the positive and the beauty around me that will make up for the years I missed. Those days are gone and I'm here today because of what I have learned from those past experiences.
I also believe I am here to make a difference by sharing what I have learned. As well, I believe my ability to write Specialisms was given to me as a gift for being well.
Incredibly my days are filled with Peace, Joy, Love & Happiness. Before I read the book, "The Secret," I had watched a segment on Oprah. From that time, I began repeating, "I am forever grateful to you for the abundance of love, health, wealth and happiness, I now have in my life ... thank you, thank you, thank you!"
For those who don't believe ... give it a try ... you will be amazed at the transformation! I now have an incredible sense of FREEDOM along with the inner peace & tranquilty that came with it. I'm no longer burdened by emotions and yet I am emotional. Unless you've felt this way, you may not understand, but its an incredible feeling!
