Devine Jealousy - 2 Corinthians 11:1-15
6/18/2007 12:30:04 AM

Dear Father, to whom our pure devotion is due,

Thank you for the divine jealousy that Christ feels for us, his
church. How wonderful to know that we have been betrothed to him as
a bride to her one husband. We wait with longing for the great
wedding celebration that is to come.

Help us not to be like Adam's bride, Eve, and be led astray by
Satan's cunning. Help us have a sincere and pure devotion to
Christ.

Help us avoid false apostles, deceitful workers, who disguise
themselves as apostles of Christ.

No wonder they do this, for Satan himself disguises himself as an
angel of light. So it is not strange if his servants disguise
themselves as servants of righteousness. Please see to it, Lord,
that their end corresponds to their deeds.

In the name of Jesus, who is the truth, I pray. Amen.

....whoooaaaaa...hold up there with that  terrible insult to EVE the mother of all mankind who didn't lead Adam astray.... ifyou go back farther in the stories and beliefs of mankind... you would find that this is a story about knowlege... the tree of knowlege....

now...that's all i'm going to say about that, Thomas!

except that in the evolutionary threads of life.... Eve could think for herself!

Thomas:

The best way to avoid attacks by Satan

is with this scripture that states to always

ask the spirit, to test it to see if it is truly

from the lord or not by asking;

"Do you believe Jesus came in the flesh?"

If they say no then of course,

they are not of God.

Immediately rebuke this spirit

in the name of Jesus.

Elise :)

The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'" " You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." When the woman saw that the fruit of the tre was good for foo and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she tok some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opend, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves togeher and made coverings for themselves.  If you'l also read down in v. 12 and 13 of Genesis 3  The man said, "The woman you put here with me- she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it. Then the Lord God said to the woman, "What is this you have done? The woman said, "The serpent decieved me, and I ate." Just stating the Truth is all, but thank you for your post. Enjoy your Monday. Ths is from the NIV Bible.
