Dear Associate:
I have had the opportunity to take a look at the resume and present activities of our CEO and found some pretty amazing tid bits included in his resume and in what he does in his private life. Now I understand why this man will go out of his way to extend a helping hand when ever the need arises.
So, with that said, here's a few lines about the guy that said " yes " to my being promoted this week as your new Director of BCN NEWS, Joe Buccheri.
Over the past several decades Joe has been " fortunate " ( his word ) to have a lucrative career within the Entertainment Industry that spans over three decades and is still a much sought after voice talent.
" I am blessed, that my numerous character voices are still being featured in over 1,500 radio and television commercials," said Joe.
Having appeared in over 15 motion picture projects, Joe's acting debut came in the 1970s and the highly acclaimed feature film - BLACK MARBLE - where he portrayed a disgruntled Police Detective opposite lead actor, Robert Foxsworth.
The production, AMERICA -THON, cast Joe as the FBI Agent playing opposite actors Michael Mislove and John Ritter.
Not wanting to be type cast, Joe grabbed a role in the Canadian Film Production, HIGH POINT, where he portrayed a Mafia Hitman. As a trained and qualified Stunt Driver, Joe states that, " I had great fun kidnapping the character portrayed by lead actor, Richard Harris."
As many here at ALP know, Joe produces & hosts THE GREAT AMERICAN MUSIC MACHINE, over Baltimore Internet Radio. You know the station as TGAMM FM RADIO. What you may not know is that this wonderful person devotes most of his free time going aboard the numerous cargo ships that vist the port of Baltimore to offer the seafarers from around the world the opporutnity to go off ship to shop, get in touch with family and friends and on weekends; to attend church.
Joe mentioned to me that, " many people do not realize the hard work that comes with being a seafarer and the sacrifices these men and women make in spending several months at sea away from their wives and children to earn a living wage. I meet men who have not seen their loved ones for ten months at a time. Were it not for these men, we would not have much of what we have on land to conduct our lives; our businesses."
Here at BCN News and at TGAMM FM, Joe is always meeting with college students to offer them his direction that " a positive attitude of co-operation and dedication to living an ethical, spirit filled life " is what is needed to begin lifes journey.
I know Joe wont mind being our feature story this week as BCN NEWS moves forward to shine the spot light on many of you here at ALP and other communities for all that you do to enhance business on line and off , and in making the world better for future generations to come.
Grab some friends and tune in Joe's show over TGAMM. I know you will enjoy what is offered.
Kate Martin / Director BCN NEWS
