Hi Thomas and Eugene,
thank you so much for taking time to ponder such a massive question..I agree with you Thomas that natural disasters are inevitable as the world is always changing and I believe that it hurts God as much as us to see such tragedy. 
My feeling is that God gave man free will and with that gift comes pain as well as joy.  Eugene is right when he talks about sin - the story about Adam in the garden of Eden illustrates how he used his free will to disobey God and we have the consequences played out for all eternity.  That is of course if you don't have Christ as your saviour;  Romans 6 talks about it being impossible for us to be separated from God's love and I take great comfort in that.

Thank you Sue my friend, i am here to teach, as one of many purposes i have here ,my second purpose is of course advertise either way they both serve my purpose as i reply to business partners i share my Faith as well. " The Ultimate Sin" is when Adam chose to "LIE" to God for his selfish reasoning. Another term for Satan is " Lier" " Deciever"  we must understand our hearts with what the word Love really means? I often wonder if natural disasters are a wake up call.
The reason that I say that, is just look at where as in the locations of most of the natural disasters, especially in the last few years, when there has been an increase, in such events. Look at what is happening at this places and the spiritual path that is followed. I believe God has the power to create what ever he wants on this earth and wherever he wants to. I mean God created this earth and everything in and on it. This is my opinion only. However I do believe God is giving out a wake up message. Keith.
