Hello Judy!

So glad you learned a little more about Fanny!  I have always thought she was an awesome and corageous woman.

Hello Carla!

That's the beauty of it all.  She was blind and wrote those most beautiful hymns.  Regardless, she lived her life and never felt sorry for herself.

Hugs,

Luella and John

Hello Joe!

This is the lovely lady that wrote those beautiful songs that you sing.  I believe that being blind made her love God all the more.  As a nine year old child she considered herself special.  My favorite part of this whole story is where she says that the first thing she will see when going to heaven will be the face of her Savior.  And can you imagine what a meeting that was?

By all means, share this story with your church.  It is the sweetest ever and you will never sing those hymns the same way again.

Kindest regards,

Luella and John

Hello Amanda!

So glad you have met the wonderful lady that wrote all those wonderful old hymns.  It is too bad that some churches have put the old hymns on the shelf.  The new music is very beautiful, but we should keep these precious hymns alive so our children can also enjoy them.

Hugs,

Luella and John
