Hello John and Pauline! Thanks to you both, for all of the time and effort which you tirelessly put into giving us this Great Forum and for providing us with the opportunity each week, to show our Support and Friendship to another of our Great Friends. Of course, a Special Thanks to LaNell and to Carla, whose Nomination and Second, made it possible for me to be in this competition in the first place, and whose Friendship means more to me than words could ever express. And finally, Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate and to cast your votes to show your support for your Friends here in our Wonderful Community.
I'd love to see this become a regular habit for everyone here in the Community. If everyone who's reading this would just mark your Calendars on each Monday to visit the POTW Forum, read through the Profiles of all those Nominated, cast your vote, and be sure to leave a Comment, so that you're eligible to be selected as one of the two Voters of the Week. Now drop a note to your Friends asking them to do the same. You'll feel better knowing that you quite possibly are making a difference in someone's life, and you will be rewarded with some of the Best Exposure That Money Can't Buy.
Although I now reside in Thomasville, NC, I was born up the road a little ways, in High Point, NC, "The Furniture Capitol of the World". on March 22, 1947, to two of the most Loving, Caring, Christian parents any Child could ever have. Both of my Parents are now at Home with the Father, however I pray each day, in whatever I do, that I can make them proud. From my Mother, I learned to care for others, to help whenever possible, to love and treat others as I wished to be treated, and finally, win or lose, to always do my best. From my Dad, I learned to provide for those you love and to be a man, to take responsibility for your actions and to try to make any personal wrongs right. Also from Dad, I learned most of what I know about being a Salesman. Many may have heard this before, however, at a very young age, my Dad said to me, "If you have something in your pocket to sell, and you're not afraid to talk to other people, then you will never go hungry. Folks, if you look at my picture, you'll see that I've never gone hungry.
My first job after graduating from High Point University with a Major in Management & Accounting, was in Credit Management for a small Textile Machine Company. It took less than a year for me to realize that I was not meant to sit in an office and crunch numbers. Therefore, in early 1971, I went to work for the Prudential Insurance Company, and have never really looked back since. After all, this job not only gave me the freedom to meet great people everyday, to be out amongst the public and helping others, it also increased my pay within 3 months from $150/50-hour week, to $500-$600/week, slaving away at the Golf Courses, Coffee Shops, Restaurants and in many of the nicest homes in the area. Of course, there have been other positions since the early 70's, most involving either Insurance or other types of Sales. From '74-'84, I worked as a Placement Specialist for the NC Employment Security Commission, until President Reagan had brought the Economy back to the point where so few people were unemployed that we were no longer needed by the ESC and I was Laid-Off by the Unemployment Office. Since Dad & I had started an Independent Insurance Agency following his retirement in 1981, I returned full time to Insurance and operated that Agency until 1994, following my Dad's passing. Being somewhat burned out on Insurance sales, I joined with a friend and formed a business to market Portrait packages. Until late 2000, we traveled over 5 states, working primarily through the "Big-Box Store", selling Glamour and Family portrait packages, and raising money through the stores which went to The Children's Miracle Network. After spending Christmas Eve, 2000, in Wallace, NC, and New Year's Eve, 2000, in Forsyth, GA, I left the road for good and went back into Insurance in January 2001.
As many of you know, my main source of income is primarily from my Insurance Agency, as well as from my Bookkeeping & Tax Service, which of course takes about 75% of my time from January-April each year. I've been involved in preparing taxes & performing bookkeeping services for over 25 years.
I first became involved in Network Marketing in the early 70's with a Company called Amway. This was a very successful venture, since both the Company & the Concept were fresh & new at that time. There have, of course, been many other Network Marketing ventures over the years, the two most successful being Shaklee and Life Plus.
Although I feel like I've been in Network Marketing all of my life, I have only been pursuing Online Marketing for about three years and Celebrated my 2nd anniversary here at AdlandPro on May 2, 2007. Although, at first, I tried out most of what came my way, the main one showing real potential, right now, is an excellent company called ItsYourNet, which you may visit at http://snipurl.com/FutureNow. The potential seems, to me at least, to be unlimited, especially once the Company's WiFi is fully out. I am also excited about another Great Company, GDI, http://freedom.ws/philblack, which offers a Registered Domain Name, a 10-Page Website so simple that if you can Cut & Paste, you can establish your presence on the Web before you know it, and one of the best deals for a future of Residual Income that I've found so far, for an investment of only Pennies per day. Finally, for one that I am excited about because of the Service it provides, there's Hear2Read, http://snipurl.com/Listen2Learn . As Marketing People, our biggest asset is our time. If we manage our time productively, we are half way to success. Likewise, if we ever stop learning new ideas and methods, we will stagnate and eventually wither away. Now there is a way to accomplish both, and at the same time save money on personal purchases, as well as earn from 10% to 30% on the purchases of those to whom you introduce the opportunity.
I appreciate that you have taken your time to learn a little more about me, and I would like to learn more from you as well. In the future, I hope that we can stay in touch more often. In the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact me anytime, whether just to talk or to share a idea or an opportunity, or if there is anything with which I can help. Thanks to the new Buddy List, just click on my Picture and you will reach me. If I'm Online, I'll be there. Remember to Vote at the POTW each and every week and tell your Friends. Let's make it a Habit.
Bless You My Friends,
Phil Black
