Friday the 4th of May is my Birthday and I have been trying to come up with something special to do.

I could throw a party and invite some people over.
That would mean a load of extra work and I don't fancy
the thought of cleaning up after everyone has left.

I could go out and have a special meal.
Not a bad idea - I wouldn't have to do the cooking and washing up after.

I could go out and get drop dead falling down drunk.
Cant do that - I stopped drinking  26 years ago and my Doc
would not be pleased at me mixing  drink with the meds I have to take.

Anyone want to throw in some idea's?

Why not celebrate your life by volunteering somewhere for the day?  Maybe spend it at a library reading to children, or at a soup kitchen, feeding the homeless....  or go to a nursing home & visit some poor soul who has been forgotten?

These things cost nothing, and the kindness will come back to you ten-fold!

If each of us could do one thing, just one, to make this world a brighter place, wouldn't that be a reason to jump for joy?

Well, first of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY in advance of the big day. 

How about a nice afternoon at the spa.  Nice long dip in the hot tub and and long massage followed by a nice dinner out.  Treat yourself to something new and different! Special and expensive!  You deserve it!

The best idea is to get a friend to throw a party for you at a fancy restaurant, that way you don't have to do any organization at all.

BTW, I loved Belgium when I was there a few years back.  Great food, great people and wonderful scenery.

Hey, I loved Belgium when I visited a few years ago also.  We visited a city, I think it was called Bruege, and saw some ladies making hand made lace.  Lovely city with lots of flowers.
