Hey Rudy-
Thanks for your post! If you think the video requires a kleenex, then you too would be overwhelmed by the transformational experience of the walk. I do this walk every year, and have made a vow to continue till the cure is found.
This is the most rewarding, inspirational, challenging and memorial event of my life. Even made more so by the participation of my husband and my daughter. I invite any & all... walk with me towards the cure... 60 miles... one step at a time.
There is hope.... today, we are winning more battles than in years prior, due to education, early detection and advancing therapies made possible by the funds raised. A cure is in our future, and hoepfully it will be sooner than later.
I dream of a day when breast cancer is an item read about only in history books & that no child will ever have to face this disease in adulthood, or lose a mother, a sister, an aunt, a friend, a grandmother, or even a father.
At the end of the walk, I raise my right shoe in the air, a tribute to those who have lost their battle and a promise that the fight continues and that they will never be forgotten because
Everyone Deserves a Lifetime!
In hope, strength, courage and faith that the cure will be found,
Your friend,
JeanMarie
