I am with Joy, thanks Diane, see that is called Maturing in the Lord, your examples followed up with Scriptures is perfect. We call them "Quiet Times" with Prayer and what we need to work on with the sins we need to change, like langauge (foul mouth) or being self righteous (always in your face) or just Gratitude. You have to choose which sin you have, for each person is differant in thier own ways. But we all do this for Jesus' sake.

Well as usual we have plenty to talk about when it comes to God's Holy Word and walking in obediance. He said let us continue in prayer as to be in prayer at all times. Ready at any given time to hear from the Father as well as to talk to the Father. As you go about your daily work and play we hear from our Father thru that still small voice within us. And we also hear the voice of the world and we need to be able to distiguish the difference between the two. We know that Satan  goeth about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. So for us to be in tune with the Father thru all kinds of prayer is to our benefit.

We stay in the Spirit of prayer to guard ourselves against the firey darts of the enemy. Satan takes shots at our head so we go to prayer in our head and in our hearts to cut him off to keep him out of our lives. We pray to keep our bodies clean as well because we walk thru an unclean world full of sin.

We pray for healing when we or our loved ones are sick. We pray one for another to help others as well as ourselves. The effectual fervent  prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Jesus had much to say about the prayer of faith.

Jesus constantly was praying the prayers of Faith. He raised the dead, He opened the eyes of the blind, the death ears He opened, the lame walked again, the dead were raised back to life again, the sick were healed. Everything that Jesus did is what He and His Father in Heaven in communication did together.

Everything that you and I do in the name of the Lord we must do with the Father, thru the Son with the help of the Holy Ghost and the new creature within us. The Spirit of Christ.

Basically it is all the work of God within us we are just yeilded vessels. A yeilded vessel is a happy vessel.

Sincerely,

Jessie Goss

Dear Thomas..you and i have talked many times about joy..the meanings..implications etc.  I must give credit where it is due..i have been doing my homework you might say and searching..what i wrote down i can not in  fairness take credit for..someone else wrote this..i just did my due diligence and read everything and went yes this feels right..that being said..sins..wow...that is a whole different subject..yep!

Let me say that the some of the biggest challenges for me is patience..i am learning but it is a toughie..lol..i always thought i was patient..but nope..have found out that i m not the best at it..but am working on this..lets see.. self righteous...another toughie...i think we all get that way at times, especially when we believe in something so strongly we forget to hear others...aint that the truth!  We all sin ..it is not an excuse but a reality..it is what we do about it that counts..to ask forgiveness from The Creator is so important..but so many do not follow up and ask forgiveness to those we have wronged..we do not take responsibility and carry through to make things right ( kind of like a twist of that show.."My name is Earl").. God is Love and in love we find joy..peace, forgiveness and laughter...

am i getting it yet??

Diane

Dear Thomas,

Prayer is seen in the acknowledgement of the things we see and do everyday. The air we breath, the water we drink, the children we see, the blue skies , the green trees , the wonderful flowers and the people we meet.etc

Every time we use or think about these things in truth , we give thanks to God for each aspect of our life. If a child lives on cola each day, he grows up loving it. So it is when a man gives gratitude for the little things we see and receive each day.(Gods joy and presence is felt )

Joy also comes with understanding . Gratitude is prayers, and it comes with a lot of blessings. Doing a little good each day also brings multiple harmony and joy in a family.

The bible says, 'the evil you do , will revert unto you and it will be full and running over'. I say ,the good you do will revert unto you and it will be full and running over. Joy has its gain in prayers when it comes without a price.

Hold your thoughts constantly to the good ( Godly) things of life and you will see it fully manifested in your daily life.
