Hey Thomas, the late sixties and early 70s were definitely an era I will never forget. I was in Africa (Malawi) then, and I remember when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon in 1969. We didn't have television at the time, and my Dad had tuned in a radio station then known as the Republic of South Africa short wave radio and we listened to it there. The infamous statement "One Small Step for Man, One Giant Leap for Mankind" will be with me the rest of my days!
Those kind of nostalgic memories along with the Beetles, and Elvis, and a few others of course were basically our era, even though I was pretty young then.
I've got a 1960 VW Bus in my back yard in El Paso, Tx. that has a peace sign painted on the front of it, and it has yellow flowers on the side. Remember those days?
