Hi Lawrence,
Officially we call them "Golf Clubs"
They come in sets with
"Woods"
#1 (Driver) , #3 Wood and #5 Wood for longer shots.
"Irons" (#3 Iron hits the longest shots for irons, #9 the shortest shots IE: #3 Iron well struck will go 190 yards for me, #9 Iron about 120 yards)
Irons are numbered 3,4,5,6,7,8,9
"Wedges"
Pitching Wedge, Sand Wedge, Lob Wedge
"Putter" - This is used to put the ball in the hole on the very short and well manicured grass around the flag, or "Pin" and hole that is known as the "Green".
There is one green for each hole.
Somestuff golfers usually have when playing:
Glove, shoes, tees, balls.
I also recommend a golf membership if you play a lot like me.
In about an hour I'm heading out to play 18 holes at Ridgewood Golf Club.
Getting some sweet late summer weather here in good old Ontario all this week!
Too bad for the weekend duffers, its probably gonna rain then.
