I agree with all of the above. Many people join free programs looking to get rich. It will never happen. Even the free advertisng is misleading because those that advertise for free exclusively, are not looking to spend anything on somebody elses program. Free ads have their function but you cannot depend on them exclusively.
I'm in the process of a pre-launch with free pre-registration. it's turned out to be the most fruitful recruiting program I've ever been involved with. I have literally averaged 3 signups a day for several weeks. [*edited out link to comply with forum rules.]
Now I know that when it comes to crunch time and my Free signups are asked to pay, most will disappear. I certainly hope they don't but I am a realist. What marketers should do is concentrate on one program at a time, give it an honest try, invest what you can afford and if it doesn't earn you any money in a reasonable amount of time, consider it a lesson learned and move on.
