I did not man any harm. I used the word "intruder" by purpose. I have checked many forums where friends are posting new threads in on going forums. Many times very good ON-TOPIC articles are sent but noboby reads the or give replies.

Barbie wrote a very goo article. I am glad that in this case we have some replies.

As a new person in forums, your description of forum communities is the most  helpful and precise that I have heard. I appreciate your listing other forum communities that you have found useful.

On a more global note, I think communities in general are a place where like-minded people can gather and commune together in fellowship.

In our fractured society that we live in, it is nice to have a place where you can get together and discuss concerns, attitudes, and beliefs...And make money! (smile)

Hi Neil, What a wonderful article Barbie put up for us to consider.  I would say it has just what we need to help us understand using communities as a place to build relationships. Now for the sad news, she did not answer any of the posts.  Barbie joined in Feb. but last logged in here  last in May.  She gathered 157 friends  but only posted 4 times before she left our community. Her words were so true, but actions destroyed creditibility.  Georgios' statements are correct and I have the same results.  No one gets invited to the thread and the poster doesn't send people over.  Thank you Neil for helping her on this thread as it is so valuabe for those who have read it.
