Education is very important and where you get your education is very important too. With so many teachers on the internet all one has to do is google their name and check the teacher/mentor out. See if you may have a connection or can even make a connection.
I have found writing the person you may want to learn something from works best and just ask them. Anyone that is real and doesn't avoid their email will Re: me back. I have made alot of my contacts this way and have learned from the best.
To me that is as simple as it gets. If you don't ask, you will never receive, pretty simple.
