You are absolutely right. Google is real bad for that. Yahoo it really does not matter that much or at least in has been that way in the past.

You must be very careful on how many times you submit your site. It is a form of spamming. You must do it at a very slow rate. When a SE sees an abundant amount of links in a very short period it can and will hurt you. At least as far as Google goes.
