Come
Life seems to be harder
than what you can take.
Things seem to be
getting worse and worse. No matter what you do you can’t seem to
get on track. You are tired and weary…
You keep asking yourself,
“Where do I go from here? “
You break down mentally
and finally ask for help from above. Your hope seems to be low. In your
mind, this is your last resort. You feel that your life is going in circles.
Why can’t you get out of this rut you ask? You wait for a response
but you don’t hear anything. You ask again thinking maybe you just
weren’t loud enough. Still no response…
Days go by and you
still don’t feel any relief.
It’s been a
month and you’ve given up.
There’s a knock
on the door – it’s one of your friends. Your friend says,
“I thought I would stop by and see how you were doing”. You
reply that you are doing fine. You really want to tell him/her about all
of the problems that you are having. During conversation your friend tells
you about a book he/she has been reading. This book has changed the way
they view their life.

how more relaxed they’ve been since reading it. You think to yourself,
“Hmmm that’s nice”. At this point you are so focused
on your personal issues that you’ve missed the opportunity for help.
Many times we are
so caught up in our current state that we can’t see the things we
should. Your mind is looking for the help in a certain form instead of
the form that has been presented to you.
We also look for instant
gratification and fail to realize that help takes time. When you ask for
help you will receive it, but you must be patient. You must also be ready
to receive it when it is presented to you. |
