Hi again Nick,

I just read Joe's question about sending the link outside of Adaland - thought I would answer that - I got to Adland because a friend sent me a link to a forum.

Go for it Joe, and add your affiliate link to the email so they can sign up - under you!!!!.  That's what I'm gonna do - Great idea.  Real brain you go there, Joe!

Blessings

Judy

Oh Nick,

This has brought tears to my eyes.  It is not something that has hit us in Spain YET - and I say - As Far As We Know - because maybe it already has and the adult world hasnt discovered it.

You said that normal children do not seek "self mutilation and near  deawth experiences" But they have always experimented and with little heed for the consequences.

Isn't this a children's answer to what they see adults doing every day - looking for bigger and better thrills and kicks.  Activities with more thrills, risk and glamour!  It is sad that as society is no longer content with the small things in life, our children are relecting this and taking bigger and bigger risks for their thrills.

Bill has commented about the problems we face raising children when we all have to go and work.  Joe less remarks about his conversation with his 16 year old.  Children are educated by us, by their environment, by commercialism and by their peers.

We need to be on constant guard against these dangerous children's "games" and as well as educating our children, i think we need to reeducate ourselves.  And if you dont agree with my last comment - remember the last time your children saw an adult drinking a little too much and everyone laughed "because it was his birthday.." or whatever. and he was just "happpy".

Lets hope we can stop this latest "game" at least and be aware of the next one in time.

Saludos
Jenny
