My prayers are with you. I too have had the misfortune of losing loved ones to cancer. My husband was also diagnosed with prstate cancer and we found here in Canada that the Cancer Society was a godsend for us. They gave me lots of places to go for help and it sure made the difference.
I know what you are going through as we sold everything when he got sick as with being self-employed you really have no respurces. We lived off the money and I was able to get partime work to keep the wolves from the door, but oh it was hard. We are now keeping our fingers crossed that all will be well, now 4 yrs. We still are living from month to month, but were able to get some help with medications as they are very costly.
I would suggest you call the cancer society where you live and they should be able to redirect you for help.
