Hi Kathy,
Yes, I have already visited your 360 page.
Your daughter has obviously spent time and thought on the piece and it makes very good reading.
This business of being positive is very interesting because there is a huge danger which is sometimes overlooked.
An example is shown almost every week by one MLM company or another. All companies hit highs and lows and that's accepted. Many MLM companies have positive thinking teachings to overcome the fear of rejection, but what sometimes happens is that a new product or service doesn't work despite huge hype.
The folks on the ground start to feedback that they can't sell or whatever. The MLM company ignores this as it sees a weakened image becoming evident. The company will then continue to promote the product whilst in the background it is planning top dump it. Suddenly the product doesn't feature anymore and is never mentioned again. The damage done to teams this way is enormous.
There is no place for negativity BUT in an attempt to APPEAR positive, some companies ignore real issues which could be addressed.
You will see me sometimes explain a challenge I might have or might know of in a friend. I always do this whilst asking for a positive outcome or by offering a solution. Many positive people will not listen to a genuine and constructive complaint when all the time their own positive attitude is causing the problem. Problems are for solving not for sweeping under the carpet.
I have a need of your help too so I think we will really have to try hard to contact across the continents.
I need to check your time zone as I am on GMT but will soon be on British Summer Time.
Will speak soon.
Roger
