THE MAN WHO WILLED HIMSELF TO DIE
3/8/2007 8:34:53 AM
Here is the Cappuccino story for the week.

THE MAN WHO WILLED HIMSELF TO DIE

There was a man who worked for the railroad. One day as
he went into the freezer compartment to do his routine
work, the door accidentally closed and he found himself
trapped in the compartment. He shouted for help but no
one heard him since it was past midnight. He tried to
break down the door but he could not. As he lay in the
freezer compartment, he began to feel colder, and
colder. Then he began to feel weaker, and weaker, and
he wrote on the wall of the compartment, “I am feeling
colder, and colder; and I am getting weaker, and
weaker. I am dying, and this may be my last words”. In
the morning when the other workers opened up the
compartment they found him dead. The sad twist to the
above story is that the freezing apparatus in the
compartment had broke down a few days earlier. The poor
worker did not know about the damaged freezing
apparatus and in his mind the freezing apparatus was
working perfectly. He felt cold, got weaker and
literally willed himself to die.

SUCCESS PRINCIPLES

Our sub-conscious mind can be cheated. The
sub-conscious mind can only accept and act on
information passed to it by the conscious mind. It has
no capacity to reject or decline any instructions or
information passed to it by the conscious mind. In the
case of the poor worker, he consciously thought that he
was getting colder, weaker and dying and the
sub-conscious mind accepted the above instructions and
affected his physical body. That was how he willed
himself to die.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE

"Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation,
for when you come back to your work your judgment will
be surer. Go some distance away because then the work
appears smaller and more of it can be taken in at a
glance and a lack of harmony and proportion is more
readily seen."

Our minds are indeed a powerful thing.  It can work for us or aginst us.  That's the same principle in Napoleon Hill's book "Think and Grow Rich".  We can really think ourselves in to success.  That's why it is so important to visualize our goals, keep them in front of us at all times.  Visualize doing something and actually accomplishing it.

Great post as usual.

Thanks.

Hello Kathy,

Thank you for sharing this inspirational story.

On another level - We we dream.
The dreams I have remembered...my subconsious
does not have any boundaries so I can actually fly, be transported from one place to another in space and time and not think anything of it or that it cannot be done.
My dreams made perfect sense while I was asleep,
yet upon wakening have wondered what they were all
about, as they can be so bizzare!

Hi Aaron and Kathy,

Now you see just how powerful my work is as a hypnotherapist.

My principle act is to achieve rapport with my client,

Secondly, convince them that whatever they wish to change can be changed.

Thirdly to get permission from their unconcious mind to make the change that the client wants

lastly to work with the client and their unconcious mind to bring about change.

I have seen amazing things. My client is the one who does it, not me. I just know how to condition the client to be more receptive to their own wishes.

Just consider this:

Every thought, every action, every smell, every feeling, indeed every part of our awareness up until this point in time is somewhere etched into our memory. Some of the trivial stuff we would find difficult to find, some of the uncomfortable stuff we may have hidden away somewhere BUT if we really, really need to remember or find something no matter how long ago, with the right application we stand a very good chance of finding it.

The only thing is:

It might be a lot different to the thing we expect to find.

Have a great and positive day.

Teach your positive mind to say:

Your wish is my command!

See what happens.

Roger
