Hello my friends,
This is a very real and sensitive and very important topic. We have seen many of our friends slip away to Cancer.
Women get your checkups regularly, go get your mamograms and your Pap smears, Men you also need to get checked for things as well.Like colon Cancer and other types of Cancers.

National Cancer Institute Hosts Meeting on Preoperative Therapy in Invasive Breast Cancer
What: "Preoperative Therapy in Invasive Breast Cancer: Reviewing the State of the Science and Exploring New Research Directions" will seek to determine the state of the science on this topic because preoperative therapy is increasingly being administered to women with breast cancer. Controversies exist, however, regarding optimal approaches. Among the topics to be discussed are:

What is established in the field of preoperative therapy for invasive breast cancer? How should what is known be properly applied? How should preoperative therapy be incorporated into research initiatives?

Leading breast cancer experts will be presenting the state of the science and engaging in panel discussions. At the conclusion of the meeting the invited participants will present a summary report of their findings and recommendations. For a complete agenda for the workshop, please go to http://ctep.cancer.gov/bcmeeting. This event will be Webcast at http://videocast.nih.gov/.

Hi Kathy,

The more information that we all get helps someone somewhere.

We are nearly all guilty of looking for solutions when we HAVE to.

Get all the information you can, if it doesn't help you it may well prove vital to somebody.

Hi Kathy!  :-)

Sweet Grams is highly missed by many here @ ALP.  Those who knew her - had thier lives touched by an amazingly sweet lady.

I find it interesting that this topic has come up as I was just discussing this stuff with my father this past weekend.  This is somthing that people need to take more seriously - it is somthing that sneaks up on you - you don't know it's there unless you get checked.

Although I do feel that there are lifestyle habits which over TIME - you could implement to posssibly prevent this stuff .....  Bottom line is that there is no cure - no pill to take should you have a problem.

And if a problem is caught too late......you will lose your life.  No trophys for 2nd place here folks.  I personally have known & lost someone who started having certain health "problems" and within 3 months they were gone.

This is important guys!  Do your loved ones a favor - GET CHECKED!

~ Drummerboy Keep on thinking positive…..thank God for everything that’s good in your life……..and make it a great week!

Everyone listen up.

If you want to do as much as you can to avoid Cancer, simply get your body ph in the range of 7.25 - 7.45. This is the normal ph for your body, and can be attained by eating foods that are more alkaline, and avoiding foods that are acidic. It has been proven that cancer cells can not live in an alkaline environment.

A very well researched article that outlines very specific components of a nutritional  program that will enable you to prepare your body for the very best chance to avoid or fight off cancer cells can be downloaded  HERE.

This is information that should be in everyone's library. It is very comprehensive and straight forward in outlining exactly what you can do to increase your chances of avoiding cancer completely, or if you have cnacer already, how to most effectively fight it.

Don't automatically be a nay-sayer, this information could literally save your life.
I feel obliged to get this information into the hands of as many people as possible. You are free to draw your own conclusions after reading it and doing further research from the referrence links in the article. Of course, nothing works without action, so don't just sit back and let something unnecessarily consume you. If you want to win a battle, you have to fight with the best tools. More often than not, INFORMATION is the best tool you can have on your side in any battle.
