Hi Carla,
From The Garden
I walk through the garden, naked and unashamed
There is no one else to be found, no one else to blame
I am all alone, with nature as my only friend
My thoughts were not of companionship,
Within the emptiness, there is a need
an insatiable want, my maker must feed
I ask him for a friend to find,
and in a union, so shall we bind
A woman was given to appease the soul,
I am man, I am now whole
We walk through the beauty of it all together,
and to her, my soul I bare
For with this woman by my side, my life I now will share
Looking up toward the sky, I ask, where did such beauty you find
In a thunderous voice he answers, my son, from your mind
And as she rests beside a tree, I am asked to taste fruit,
for she was told it would set us free
My eyes are now open, and I am ashamed
I went against his wishes, for this I am to blame
As we walk away from the garden, for I know that we must leave
I look up towards the Heavens and yell,
Father I still love you, and will teach our children to believe.
