Joanne, I enjoyed viewing your work. My experience in this realm goes back many years. Once, when my maternal grandmother was visiting us for a couple of weeks or so, she crocheted a lot. My younger brother and I were fascinated with what she was doing. She asked if we would like to learn. Yes! She had us do a chain to get the hang of it. Then she moved into small squares separated by space, with the outside border filled with scallaps. We learned how to make antimacassars. That was it. It was a great experience. No, I haven't crocheted since, but I have an appreciation for it that I would not have if I had not done it myself.
