Sometimes I feel like the King of Procrastination.
Constantly knowing what you should do (or have done) is no good..

Thank You Nan,

It was just something lurking in the dark so I brought it out into the light, hopefully we all will feel like you did.

Tomorrow is theirs and we should at least put a down payment on it for them?

Respectfully,

Manuel D.

Hi Marilyn,

I wanted to add to Manuel's post...procrastination and change.  This is most likely why America hasn't learned the metric system, even though there was a big thing about learning it back in the mid-1970's.  Things won't go forward if we even have a small excuse, but having a very big excuse like 100,000,000's of people not making an effort...but the metric system isn't my main focus either, of course not!  It's just an example of a large group refusing to change and saying "He didn't, she didn't, they didn't, so why should I?"

USA and Brunei are are the only 2 countries in the world who don't use metric as their main form of measurement.  And when we DO refer to metric here in USA, we're not precise, the media has made it okay to say "a meter is a LITTLE MORE than a yard"..."a liter is a LITTLE MORE than a quart"...we're a LITTLE MORE than stubborn!

Here's a phrase that I see all the time & have come to realize is very true.

What you wish to attain is outside of your comfort zone.

So, I am getting better at trying new things! I now try to - Take the leap & do it - and do it NOW!!!

Thanks Kathleen,

I was a little confused when I began to read your comment, however I now understand that it is basically what I said and I thank you sincerely for the thread.

It is fear of change, change is the bad guy here in this country people slam doors and turn their backs, raising the volume on radios to avoid having to hear anything that would suggest making a change.

Therefore, procrastination festers to a point where it becomes stagnant, it is a shame because we could do so much to save this planet for our off spring, but greed wills out and I am sorry to say that they will have to find another place (Planet) to live on, because we are destroying this one at a pace that fifty years ago was barely noticeable, not today we can see it happening all around us, think about it…

Thanks again,

Respectfully,

Manuel D.
