Hi Marion,

This story was such a blessing to me last year at this time as my time with my Mom neared to a close here on earth.  I learned a great lesson in gratitude and acceptance and thanksgiving.  I thank God now every day for the time I had with her in both good times and sad.

Thanks for sharing it with the community again.

God bless,

Judy

Thank you all for coming and enjoying!  The story has been around for a while but it does not hurt to read it again and again.  It has a very important message and we will all get old one day.  It seems that the elderly get pushed aside and are considered useless.  We have to think about the fact that they were once young and productive and paid their dues.  They took care of us when we were babies so it's our turn then to take care of them.

If you really listen to elderly people they have some interesting stories to tell.

God Bless You!
Marion

Thank you Marion for this story about the old man. I remember this story from my childhood, which is very loooong ago. It was written in a book but I cannot remember what book. Life teaches us all. Here is one thought I try to remember: One drop of honey collects more flies than a gallon of vinegar. Wish you many Blessings and a Great Day Marja
