Thankyou for the warning, we have not had that here yet but what we are having is people putting some kind of card or paper in the hole where we receive our "money" from the Auto Teller machine and when we do not get our money we go into the bank and by the time we get outside to the machine not only is our money gone but also the perpetrator. and also people stopping you in the main streets of a town asking all sorts of personal questions, social security driver's licence etc., so although we are a small country we still have our problems too. I guess the Internet is not the only way to easily get the information these crooks are looking for.  The majority of scams are successfully carried out to hurt anyone  that is vurnerable to deception....some that have even been warned have been scammed.  Remember the: I never thought it could happen here or to me or us?????

Hi Marilyn,

I have just read your post with my mouth open like a goldfish!  This is a very original scam.

 And why wouldn't we believe it?  The authorities here where I live do make that kind of calls, as I am sure they do in other places too.
