Hello Mary,

Thank you for the words of encouragement.

My late mother was very particular about what sat
on the table, other than food stuff and doing home-
work with books definately no shoes (they were dirty
and did not know where they could have been) or
bags etc as they looked unsightly.  I do not think we ever thought about the germs that were attached to bags. 
My mother ran and kept a tidy house!

Back in New Zealand my family had many Maori friends and it was very tapu (culturally bad) to place anything like shoes, bags or even sit on the table. 
Their culture considers tables are for eating off so
one does not 'park your butt' on the table.   This tradition made sense to me and I tend to keep this
habit and advice.

usually back in New Zealand.

I hope your wife enjoys them and I do hope to hear
from you again! *lol*  I wouldn't want any blood
shed or divorce from these jokes! *grin*
