Hi Everybody,
I am humbled. GOD made a lot of beautiful people and he placed them all in AdlandPro Community. Not only have you wonderful people stopped by to congratulate me, but I have also received several personal messages as well. This has all made me feel like perhaps I am worthwhile.
When Shirley came into my life, she made me feel that I had a worth in life. For those of you that don't know the whole story here it is in a nutshell. We met back in Taunton, Massachusetts. We were both married to different people at the time and knew we couldn't be together. I left, and came to Indianapolis. This was April 1987. Leap forward to December 21,1988. I visited all my favorite bars in Indy, had a couple of drinks and said goodbye to my friends. Most of them laughed because they knew I could not walk past a bar without stopping in. Shirley arrived on December 22, 1988. I have not had a drink since. Also, she wanted to go to Christmas Mass. I was not going to church at the time, but I walked her to the church. The steps were slippery so I helped her up the steps. It was pretty cold outside so I went in. She brought me home to GOD.
If you are lonely or scared or confused, you can walk into a church, kneel down or sit, and ask for help. I was tired, lonely, confused, I felt that I had no worth on Earth and that is when GOD sent me his Angel. I had lost my sense of humor because my eyes were clouded with tear drops. I had a wife that was vindictive, cruel, heartless, and alienated me from every friend that I ever had. Shortly after Shirley and I met we were talking one day. She looked at me, smiled, and said, "I'm going to bring you back to GOD!!" She has.
