Hello Joanne, I followed a link from our mutual friend Jenny, thanks Jenny for telling us about this forum. I have done a lot of knitting over the years being a New Zealand and 100% sheep wool in great abundance back home was an enjoyable, and effective way of keeping warm during winter as wool is so versitile and being natural is shower resistant and one does not perspire as freely as man made fibres. If washed and not dried in the dryer (dry naturally flat on the floor, outside in the shade on towels, line dry or on a clothes horse) will keep your woolens lasting much longer. Drying in the dryer is the worst thing you can do too wool - the fibres thickens and or shrinks. I did some crocheting and other hand crafts. My latest, I have been working on hand sewed quilting which is very enjoyable. I still have along way to go to finish as I do not work on it very often. Hopefully after we move shortly and set up in our own home I will have a better chance and getting my quilt out again. I booked marked your site and will look forward to keeping up dated with new crafts and information. Kind regards Amanda Martin-Shaver
