Hi Marion,
Thanks for letting us know of James' situation and giving us the opportunity to join you and others in prayers, and rest assured that I am there with you.
There is never a good time for any of us to go as we find it scary; all we have is the promise that Jesus made to us.
Having lived the passing of my sweetheart on Nov. 4-06, I am still in shock but I know in my heart that she is in a better place, no more pain, no more problems, but eternal bliss with our God as promised to us.
One of the most precious moment for her and I, was that a good friend of mine who is a priest and lives over 300 miles away came down to visit us and gave her the sacrement of the sick; it brought her a lot of peace and she was able to ask him a few more questions that she had as to what happens when we go; and his answer was:
ON THIS EARTH, WE LIVE WITH THE PRESENCE OF GOD,
ON THE OTHER SIDE, WE ARE PRESENT TO GOD.
If you can, pass this this on to James and assure him that a new life will start for him, although it is so difficult for us to let go of what we know for 'what we have been promised'.
In the last 3 years, I have lost my oldest son (36), a son-in-law (39), my Mom (78) and as I mentioned higher up, the love of my life, Linda at 58.
God be with you James, and may His will be done.
