Just lovely! Guess what? Here's another poem -- it seems to relate...
In The Company of Goodness
Welcomed, shy
slightly shaky,
he pretends
well
Counting beans
makes
no sense to him
but he loves
being
in the old
man’s company
He feels
comforted,
important –
trusted, even
He gladly aches
for moments
like these
Their
rarity makes them
all the more
unbearably sweet
It does not
really matter
what they do
‘cuz they,
for this small,
bracketed space in time,
Are together,
Are connected,
Are together,
Are one
