Hi Ian,

Thank you.

I have no time today to write but just want you to know I will follow your Forum.

I work with folks with all sorts of depressive problems but your images and physical pain are so very real.

Roger

Hi Ian that is a very good poem.  It really tells alot about what you have been through.

Have you ever tried Antidepressants?  They work very well.  They don't make you forget anything.  They dull the pain to make life a little more bearable.

Big Hugs. :)

Hi Barbara

At the moment I take 34 tablets each day, 7 days a week, and have been doing so since 1994 when I was first Diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, since then I have been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, and two years ago I was diagnosed with Asthma, I don't smoke and never have, I am ex SAS, Green Beret and have always been fit, now i'm just a crumbling heap.I live in Spain and the Spanish Health Authorities believe most of my problems have come from the burning oil fields, I spent 4 weeks there clearing the Basra Road and the minefields around Kuwait. I am now being tested for cancer because I have blood coming up and out of certain parts of my body,

In a way I am glad I wrote this poem, because I have made so many friends, but that was down to a friend Kathy who I already Know, I am not American just to let you know Barbara, I am a mad Scotsman ( better looking than Mel Gibson) in Braveheart.

Thank you for your reply, and I am glad you read the poem, I hope we can be friends, that is an invitation by the way.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS  and take care

Ian

Hello Kathy,

Thank you for your reply, and reading the poem, I have re-read the poem over again and again, and it still feels the same, the poem was written as to how I was feeling at the time of day, all the Military moms will understand that, I still feel the same but not so low, I have overdosed 6 times, cut my wrists, and smashed my head through a gas fire all because of nightmares and depression, and the need to end to it, it's only now that I have come to realise that I have 3 children that I want to see grow up and get married, and I have the need to make friends, I live alone in my head, I have people here to talk to, but in reality I am alone.

If we are not friends Kathy then this an invitation to become friends, i hope you accecpt.

happy holidays

Ian
