Well here is my observation for what its worth.
We have 41766 members, of which currently on line are 130.
I have never seen the currently on line higher than about 150.
I strongly suspect it is always the same people that are on line.
Probably a core of maximum 200.
I know its Thanksgiving in the States, but still the current online is always around the same figure of 87 (USA night time) to 150 or so (USA Day time)
I also strongly suspect that when you send invitations / messages in the majority of cases, they go to recipients that either a) use a junk email address that is never checked, or b) they dont bother checking very often, or c) they just dont bother reading them and hit the delete button. or d) (most un lightly) they dont know how to check them.
To explain why I say this i will use an example. I have had a couple of cases of private messages being sent to me saying here is a new program and giving a url - and i have to bite my toung when I realize I sent out a direct contact mailing telling them about it just 2 or 3 days previously. (Note I use direct contact, not private mesages for program alerts)
I am sure it is exactly the same with the posts reminding us to vote; All I can say is draw your own conclusions. I do vote now that I have come to know a lot of the members a bit better. Some through private chats, some by following their posts. Although I do vote it is rare you will see me post that I have.
