Dear Jenny,

It was you that helped me figure out what was happening to my notifications. Were it not for you, I would have never find out.

On the other hand, I am very happy you like this master's work. Of all people, it was mainly you I had in mind in choosing him to feature this time.

Thank you, and best wishes,

Luis Miguel Goitizolo

P.S. Please accept my other best option to show at this forum as my grateful present to you.

The Virgin of the Apple by Luca Della Robbia
(Glazed terracotta, 1455 - 1456)

Dear Deborah,

Thank you for visiting; your presence at this forum is always most appreciated.

Luca's "Singing Galleria" (or “Cantoria”) is also one of my favorites. Actually I had considered showing it at this forum, but its size made it unsuitable for it as visitors would have missed its rich details. So I was left with choosing between The Virgin of the Roses and The Virgin of the Apple, and I finally opted for the first one.

Best Wishes,

Luis Miguel Goitizolo

P.S. I am very happy that you have included this master work in your post. It certainly enriches this forum.

Dear friends, now I would like to add three extremely beautiful sculptures by Luca della Robbia. Of them, only the one at the top is still treasured in the sacristy of the Duomo in Florence; the other two, while also in Florence, are kept in the Museo Nazionalle del Bargello there.

Luca della Robbia - Angel with Candlestick
(Glazed terracotta, 1448)

Luca della Robbia - Madonna and Child
(
Glazed terracotta, 1455 - 1460)

Luca della Robbia - Tondo Portrait of a Lady
(Glazed terracotta, 1465)
